The short version
Exodus Labs workshops are for learning together. We are dedicated to a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack of one), or technology choices.
We don't tolerate harassment in any form. Anyone who breaks these rules may be asked to leave, without a refund.
Where it applies
Workshops, talks and meetups we run or speak at, our hosted workshop environment, and any online space we run for attendees.
It applies to everyone: attendees, instructors, helpers and guests.
What we expect
- Be respectful and patient. People arrive with very different experience, and questions are welcome.
- Help others when you can, and give them room to work.
- Follow the venue's rules and instructions from staff.
- Tell us if something is wrong.
What's not OK
Harassment includes:
- offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or technology choices
- sexual images or content in shared spaces, including on screens others can see
- deliberate intimidation, stalking or following
- photographing or recording other attendees, or their screens, without asking
- sustained disruption of a session
- unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention
- encouraging any of the above
If someone asks you to stop, stop at once.
Using AI tools in the room
- Don't put other people's personal information into an AI tool.
- Don't put your employer's confidential code, documents or data into an AI tool. Use public or personal material, or the synthetic knowledge bases we provide.
- Don't use the environment to generate harassing, sexual, hateful or illegal content, or content that targets a real person.
- Don't open or change other attendees' work, accounts or keys.
- Some lessons show AI going wrong on purpose, such as answers from poisoned data. Keep those experiments inside the exercise.
Reporting a problem
If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, tell the instructor right away, or email Support@Exodus-Labs.com.
We'll listen, keep your report as confidential as we can, and help. That can mean contacting venue security or the police, walking you to your car, or whatever else helps you feel safe.
What happens next
We may take any action we think is right, from a warning to asking someone to leave without a refund. We may also decline their future bookings.
