About these terms
These terms cover booking and attending a public Exodus Labs workshop. "We" means Exodus Labs LLC. "You" means the person who books and attends.
When you book a seat, you agree to these terms, our liability waiver and our code of conduct. Our privacy notice explains what we do with your information.
Team pilots and other work for companies are covered by a separate written agreement, not by these terms.
Who can book
You must be 18 or older to book and attend. Each booking is for one named person.
Your seat is confirmed when your payment completes. We email your receipt to the address you give at checkout.
Price and payment
You pay the price shown when you book. A founding price applies only to the cohort it names. Later sessions cost more.
Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your full card number.
Your receipt shows what you paid for, so you can submit it to your employer. Whether your employer reimburses you is up to them.
Refunds, transfers and cancellations
- 7 days or more before the workshop: cancel for a full refund.
- Less than 7 days before: move your seat to a future date at the price you paid, or send someone in your place. Tell us their name and email before the workshop. They must accept these terms too.
- No-shows: if you miss the workshop without telling us first, we don't refund your seat.
- If we cancel or reschedule, for any reason, including low enrollment, illness or a venue problem: you choose a full refund or a transfer to the new date.
- If we can't offer a new date: if you transferred and we haven't offered a new date within 6 months, ask and we'll refund what you paid.
To cancel or transfer, email Support@Exodus-Labs.com. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
On the day
Bring a laptop with a modern browser, and its charger. You're responsible for your own equipment and belongings.
We may adjust the agenda or exercises on the day. The topic and length stay as advertised.
Follow the venue's rules and our code of conduct. We may ask anyone who breaks them to leave, without a refund.
The workshop environment and your model key
During the workshop you use our hosted environment: a chat workspace, notebooks, a coding container and a personal model key with a spending cap. They're for the workshop's exercises only. You agree not to:
- share your key or your account with anyone
- use your key for anything other than the workshop's exercises, or try to get around its spending cap
- use the environment, your key or our AI tools for any cybersecurity activity, such as security testing, scanning or probing, writing exploits or malware, or attacking passwords, accounts or systems. This includes the environment itself, the workshop network and the venue's network. The only exception is an exercise the workshop itself sets, done as instructed and only on the systems that exercise names
- open, change or copy other attendees' work
- create content that is illegal, harassing or sexually explicit, or that breaks the model providers' usage policies
We may suspend access that breaks these rules. Your key stops working at the end of the workshop day.
What you put into AI tools
Don't use your employer's confidential code, documents, data or credentials. Use public or personal material, or the synthetic knowledge bases we provide. Don't enter other people's personal information.
No images or data about children, and nothing illegal. Don't put into the AI tools any photo, video, recording or personal data of anyone under 18, or any material that is illegal or about illegal activity. We'll end your access, and we'll report it where the law requires us to.
What you type into the chat, notebooks or coding tools goes through our gateway to OpenRouter, and from there to the provider that runs the model you use. Their terms and privacy policies apply to that processing. For workshops, our gateway only sends requests to providers on OpenRouter's zero-data-retention list, and voice models aren't available. Zero data retention limits what a provider keeps. It isn't a promise that nothing is kept: a provider may still hold data briefly, for example to screen for abuse.
How long we keep your workshop data
Export your notebooks, session memory and files before you leave. We help everyone do this at the end of the day.
Your model key stops working at the end of the workshop day. We delete your workshop account, chats, notebooks and coding container 30 days after the workshop.
What you build, and our materials
What you build during the workshop is yours.
Our slides, notebooks, exercises and knowledge bases remain ours. Until we publish a license for them, you may use your copies for your own learning and work, but not resell them or teach from them. All other rights are reserved.
Photos and quotes
We may take photos at the workshop and use them, along with things you say about the workshop, on our website, on social media and in marketing. We identify you by first name and role only, and we never name your employer.
To opt out, tell us at check-in or email Support@Exodus-Labs.com at any time. We'll stop using photos and quotes of you in anything new, and remove them from our website.
We don't make audio or video recordings of workshop sessions. Ask before you photograph other attendees or their screens.
What we promise, and what we don't
The workshop is education. We teach the advertised topic with care, but we can't promise a particular result, a job outcome, or that what you build will suit your work.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or biased. Check it before you rely on it.
The environment and the model providers can fail. If they do, we'll work around the problem as best we can.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with a workshop is limited to what you paid for it. We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost data, profits or opportunities.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct. The liability waiver covers injury and property loss.
Governing law, changes and contact
Michigan law governs these terms. Disputes go to the courts of [to confirm: county for disputes], Michigan.
